The number of mortgaged properties and the amount of the guaranteed operations corresponding to such, as granted by various organizations. This data comes from the information contained in the Spanish provincial property registries, including Ceuta and Melilla. The information concerns property mortgages distinguishing between rural and urban properties (houses, lots and others). The date of reference of the mortgages is the date of inscription in the Registries of the Property. The School of Recorders of the Property, and Personal Mercantile Property of Spain, through its Service of Information systems, is the one who provide this information to INE who are able to process it into a centralized format. The information has a time lag of three months.
