Italian General Government Debt - Total In millions of euros. Stocks are measured according to their exchange value and includes currency and deposits, securities other than shares including financial derivatives, loans and other accounts payable, as well as, in some cases of specific units classified in the government sector, shares and other equity and insurance technical reserves. General Government is defined by the S.13 sector of ESA95 and includes all institutional units which are other non-market producers whose output is intended for individual and collective consumption, and mainly financed by compulsory payments made by units belonging to other sectors, and/or engaged in the redistribution of national income and wealth.
