Russian Imports of Turkmen Gas Reach 7.9 BCM Since Link Reopened

Russia has imported 7.9 billion cubic meters of natural gas from Turkmenistan in almost nine months since resuming shipments through a pipeline that had been damaged by an explosion, according to the Kremlin press service.
OAO Gazprom, the world’s biggest natural-gas producer, halted imports of the fuel from the Central Asian state in April 2009 after an explosion on a pipeline and a slump in European demand halted supplies, resuming shipments in January this year.
