Thanks to its purchase of Fox properties five years ago, Walt Disney owns the best entertainment assets in the world — the most successful movie studio, the largest portfolio of sports rights, the best-known brands in kids and award-winning programming for adults.
To wit, the company won more awards than any of its peers last weekend at the Creative Arts Emmys and is the heavy favorite at Sunday’s prime-time Emmy show for best drama (Shogun) and best comedy (The Bear).
