European Union member states demanded that Hungary reverse its most recent anti-LGBTQ legislation, and called on the bloc’s executive to take action if Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s government fails to do so.

The joint statement, signed by 17 EU members including France and Germany, was published after Hungarian police on Monday for the first time cited a new constitutional amendment to ban an LGBTQ march called by local human rights groups.
