ION Group’s Andrea Pignataro has hired one of Italy’s former top spies in a bid to boost the company’s offering of financial security services.
The London-based fintech firm appointed Italy’s top intelligence body’s former deputy director Giuseppe Del Deo as executive chairman of its financial services unit Cerved Group SpA, according to a statement confirming an earlier report by Bloomberg News.
