Hochul Sees Path Forward With Trump in NYC Congestion-Fee Spat
New York Governor Kathy Hochul, who’s in a standoff with Donald Trump and his administration over congestion pricing, said she’s encouraged that her “direct pipeline” to the president will keep the system in place.
US Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy on Thursday pushed a deadline for New York to turn off the tolls back by another month, saying the federal government was putting the Metropolitan Transportation Authority and Hochul “on notice.” He also hinted that New York’s federal funding was at risk if the state didn’t fall in line.
