Geoffrey Starks, a member of the US Federal Communications Commission, said he’s resigning from the regulatory agency this spring.

The senior Democrat at the commission has clashed with FCC Chairman Brendan Carr over several high-profile issues. Starks criticized the chairman after he told Verizon Communications Inc. that its diversity efforts run afoul of Trump administration policies and suggested that approval for a pending merger would depend on the carrier falling in line.
