Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr warned Verizon Communications Inc. in a Thursday letter that its efforts to encourage diversity, equity and inclusion inside the telecom company run afoul of Trump Administration policies.

Carr called for the New York-based telecom carrier to end its promotion of DEI in corporate values and training materials. Carr, who previously sent a similar letter to Comcast Corp., said he’s “pleased with the progress that different companies are making on this front” but is “concerned by the apparent lack of progress at Verizon.”
