Portuguese Prime Minister Luis Montenegro is struggling to put an end to speculation about potential conflicts of interest in relation to a company owned by his family, less than a year after his minority government took office.
The prime minister said he’ll address the country at 8 p.m. in Lisbon on Saturday to announce “personal and political decisions” so that the government can focus “all of its attention” in serving the country. At 6 p.m., there’ll be an extraordinary cabinet meeting.
