Portuguese Prime Minister Luis Montenegro said he’ll take personal and political decisions after facing questions about potential conflicts of interest in relation to a company owned by his family.

The premier said he’ll make “a deep assessment of the conditions of my personal, family and political life to serve with total availability.” He added “it’s only possible to serve the country if people believe in those who are serving the country. I want to guarantee that I will only exercise the role of prime minister if I feel that this confidence exists.”
