Mark Kirk Says He'll Vote For Loretta Lynch, Giving Her Enough Votes for Confirmation
The Illinois senator becomes the fifth Republican to promise support for President Obama's pick to succeed Eric Holder.

Mark Kirk became the fifth Republican senator to publicly back Loretta Lynch’s nomination for attorney general, giving President Barack Obama’s nominee the support of 51 senators that she needs for confirmation.
“I am confident from my conversation with Loretta Lynch that she will be a valuable partner in confronting the gang violence that is robbing families of their children every day in Chicago,” Kirk said at an event there Thursday, adding that he planned to support her for attorney general.
