US Envoy Arrives in Greenland to ‘Make Friends,’ He Tells DR
President Donald Trump’s envoy to Greenland, Jeff Landry, arrived on the Arctic island, which has become a geopolitical flash point, telling local media he’s there “to make friends.”
It’s Landry’s first visit to the territory and he’s scheduled to attend a business conference in Nuuk. Denmark and Greenland are in talks with the US over Arctic security and Washington’s role in its future.
