NZ Prime Minister Wins Confidence Vote as Election Looms
New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon said his National Party reaffirmed its confidence in his leadership, as he seeks to quell persistent speculation about his future less than seven months before the nation’s election.
“I have the support of my caucus as their leader,” Luxon said Tuesday in Wellington following an hours-long meeting of the party caucus, where he moved a formal motion of confidence in his leadership.
