Xi Pledges to Maintain Corruption Fight in China, Xinhua Says

Chinese President Xi Jinping said it’s essential to maintain a strong stance against graft to ensure corrupt officials have “no place to hide,” according to a report from the official Xinhua News Agency.

The situation is “grave and complex” and the task of “eliminating the soil and conditions breeding corruption remains arduous,” Xi said at a meeting of the country’s top anti-graft agency on Monday, Xinhua reported. He warned that graft hampers the Communist Party and the country’s development.
