Chipotle’s Image Still Suffers a Year After Outbreaks: Chart

Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc., whose stock and sales were battered by multiple foodborne-illness outbreaks, is still facing quality-perception concerns a year later. But the company is getting more aggressive in repairing its image. On Wednesday, the chain unveiled a new ad push, including a letter from founder and co-Chief Executive Officer Steve Ells that says “we failed to live up to our own food safety standards.”
