Deutsche Telekom Executive: Beware, the Smartphone’s End Is Nigh

Deutsche Telekom AG has more than 158 million mobile customers, most of them using smartphones. One of its top executives says those devices will soon be historic artifacts.
“In a few years, your kids will look at the smartphone in a museum and they will probably look as astonished at your smartphone as my kids are when I show them an old dial telephone,” Deutsche Telekom Board Member Claudia Nemat said Thursday at the DLD tech conference in Munich.
