It was a merry month of May for Manhattan apartment renters. A supply glut saw incentives -- such as a month of free rent or payment of broker fees -- in 13 percent of new leases, a report Thursday by appraiser Miller Samuel Inc. and brokerage Douglas Elliman Real Estate showed. Last May, deal sweeteners were offered in just 1.6 percent of new leases.
