A flurry of enterprise-software transactions have been announced in the past two months, helping the technology sector recover from a major drop in semiconductor merger activity. The latest is today’s announcement that Qlik Technologies Inc. agreed to be bought by private equity firm Thoma Bravo LLC for about $3 billion. It follows Wednesday’s $2.8 billion takeover of Demandware Inc. by Salesforce.com Inc., announced just a day after Vista Equity Partners LLC’s $1.8 billion acquisition of marketing-software firm Marketo Inc.
