Gas futures slid for a third day as forecasts signaled muted seasonal demand for the fuel over the next two weeks. New England temperatures may be above normal from May 21 through May 25, curtailing the volume of gas used for heating, while readings in the Southeast may be below average, limiting consumption by power generators, according to MDA Weather Services.
