A reporter was killed in Guinea while covering a meeting between opposition members in the capital on Friday.
El-Hadj Mohamed Diallo was shot dead as members of the Union of Democratic Forces clashed outside their offices in Conakry, the advocacy group for journalists said in an e-mailed statement. Diallo had been covering the party vice president’s attempt to enter the offices when violence broke out.
