ArcelorMittal South Africa Ltd. plunged after the continent’s largest steelmaker said Chief Executive Officer Paul O’Flaherty resigned from his position less than 18 months after being appointed.

“Mr. O’Flaherty has resigned due to personal reasons and wishes to pursue other interests,” AMSA, as the Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng province-based unit of ArcelorMittal is known, said in a statementBloomberg Terminal on Monday. “The board has established a search committee for his successor, of which he will also be a member.”
