A Somali journalist working for the country’s state-run broadcaster was killed in a car-bombing claimed by Islamist militant group al-Shabaab.

Hindiya Hajji Mohamud was driving in the south of the capital, Mogadishu, on Thursday when a bomb hidden in her vehicle detonated, police officer Mohamed Hassan said by phone.
