Pope Francis accused corrupt Kenyan officials of overseeing a “new form of colonialism” with practices that have included stealing land from one of the capital’s schoolyards.
Speaking at St. Joseph’s church in Nairobi’s Kangemi slum on Friday morning, part of his first official visit to Africa, the pontiff urged Kenya’s leaders to help the millions of its people who live below the poverty line and suffer from the unjust distribution of land.
