Abengoa CEO Seage Resigns After Creditor Protection Request

Santiago Seage stepped down as as chief executive officer of Abengoa SA after six months on the job, part of a management reshuffle after the company filed for creditor protection.

Seage, who also resigned the board of the company based in Seville, Spain, will focus on his role as managing director of Abengoa Yield Plc, Abengoa said in a regulatory filing Friday. The CEO post will be shared by Chairman Jose Dominguez Abascal, who becomes executive chairman, and new general director Joaquin Fernandez de Pierola Marin, who was previously chairman of Abengoa Mexico, according to the filing.
