The senior BBC producer struck by Jeremy Clarkson in a "physical and verbal incident" is suing the former “Top Gear” host and the broadcaster for racial discrimination.

Lawyers for Clarkson and the BBC had a closed-door hearing with Oisin Tymon at a London employment tribunal Friday, according to court records. The BBC refused to renew Clarkson’s contract after the incident and he has since agreed to make a new automobile program for Amazon.com Inc.
