Gains in BP, Shell Help FTSE 100 Reverse Drop in Late-Day Rally

An end-of-day advance pushed U.K. stocks up in the final hour of trading, helped by climbing shares of BP Plc and Royal Dutch Shell Plc as oil rose higher.
BP and Shell added at least 3 percent each. Stagecoach Group Plc rose 4.1 percent after a bus-franchising decision in north-east England was favorable to the company.
