Indonesia, which had resisted help from neighboring countries to fight forest fires that have engulfed parts of Southeast Asia with haze, said it will now tap on assistance offered by countries from Singapore to Russia.

Singapore said late Wednesday that Indonesia will accept aid ranging from a C-130 for cloud-seeding to high-resolution satellite images tracking hotspots. Indonesia will also take on assistance from Malaysia and Japan, President Joko Widodo told reporters in Jakarta on Thursday.
