A man sought in connection with a series of parcel bombings in China’s southern region of Guangxi was confirmed to be among the people killed in the blasts, state media said.

Wei Yinyong, 33, a local man previously named as a suspect, was identified following DNA tests, the official Xinhua News Agency said, citing police in the city of Liuzhou. He concealed more than a dozen homemade bombs in packages and hired people to help him deliver them to public places after disputes over the operations of a local quarry, Xinhua said, without elaborating.
