Uber, Lyft Drivers Can Now Cruise the Las Vegas Strip

Gamblers, drunks, tourists -- anyone with a smartphone can now summon a car through Uber or Lyft in Sin City.

One day after the Nevada Transportation Authority granted permits to the ride-hailing mobile applications to operate in the state, drivers for Uber Technologies Inc. and Lyft Inc. started accepting rides Tuesday afternoon in Las Vegas, the companies said.
