The U.K. will demand that changes to European Union rules it’s seeking ahead of a membership referendum prevent discrimination against countries outside the euro area, Europe Minister David Lidington said.
British negotiators are aiming to “make it clear beyond any doubt that all in the EU accept that the U.K. will not participate in ever closer political integration,” Lidington told Parliament’s European Scrutiny Committee on Wednesday. “There should be acceptance of a model of differentiated integration at European level.”
