Four cigarette types from Reynolds American Inc. can no longer be sold in the U.S., after the Food and Drug Administration said they violate a 2009 law that gave the agency authority over the tobacco industry.
On Tuesday, the FDA ordered a halt to the sale and distribution of Reynolds’s Camel Crush Bold and three other products, according to an agency statement. Camel Crush cigarettes have a menthol capsule in the filter that releases flavor when squeezed. The other products include Pall Mall Deep Set Recessed Filter, Pall Mall Deep Set Recessed Filter Menthol and Vantage Tech 13 cigarettes.
