OMERS Ventures' Bram Sugarman Joins Shopify to Lead Deals

OMERS Ventures’ Bram Sugarman left the Canadian firm to help newly public Shopify Inc. hunt for acquisitions.
Sugarman joined Shopify about two weeks ago to head corporate development and strategic partnerships, Mark Hayes, a spokesman for the software provider, said in an e-mail late Tuesday. Sugarman had served as a senior associate at the venture capital arm of the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System since 2011.
