Merkel Hosts Bid to Revive Ukraine Peace Discussions

Leaders of Germany, France and Ukraine said they’ll meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin only when they find a way to resolve a stalled cease-fire in eastern Ukraine.
French President Francois Hollande and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko met in Berlin on Monday for talks hosted by Chancellor Angela Merkel as the truce negotiated by the three leaders and Putin in February falters. A critical issue was when Russia will rejoin efforts to keep pro-Russian separatists and government forces in eastern Ukraine from returning to war.
