China Orders Safety Review of Toxic Cargos After Tianjin Blasts

A government safety commission ordered nationwide inspections on the storage and transport of dangerous chemicals after a series of explosions at a port in the northeast killed at least 56 people and injured more than 700.
The State Council Work Safety Commission said the blasts at a storage site for hazardous materials exposed weaknesses in how cargo imports and exports are managed. Local governments have until Sept. 15 to report back.
