Zinc Succumbs to Bear Market as China Concerns Trounce Metals

One of the last bull markets in commodities is over.

Zinc fell into a bear market amid easing supply concerns and signs of slowing demand in China, the world’s biggest user. The metal, used in steel auto parts, brass plumbing fixtures and sunscreens, has lost 12 percent this year, on pace for the biggest annual decline since 2011.
