Burger King Owner Tops Estimates as Chicken Fries Help Sales

Restaurant Brands International Inc., owner of the Burger King and Tim Hortons restaurant chains, posted second-quarter profit that topped analysts’ estimates after new sandwiches and classic menu items lured customers.
Profit was 30 cents a share, excluding some items, the Oakville, Ontario-based company said Monday in a statement. Analysts estimated 25 cents, on average.
