Samsung Heavy Industries Co. led a drop in shares of South Korean shipbuilders on a report the company may post an operating loss as large as 1 trillion won ($873 million), the latest blow for an industry already reeling from weak orders.

Samsung Heavy plunged the most since November 2008 in Seoul trading after EToday reported the company may post the loss in the second quarter, citing a government official it didn’t identify.
