Google Inc. investors will hear from Ruth Porat, the new chief financial officer, for the first time Thursday during the company’s earnings call. They’re hoping to get more than a basic business update.
Porat, who held the same position at Morgan Stanley before she replaced Patrick Pichette in May, will draw listeners trying to decipher how she’ll handle the post -- and whether she’ll signal any change in the company’s direction.
