Passenger-vehicle sales in India fell for the first time in eight months, joining a slump in China and Russia, after deliveries for utility vehicles and vans declined.

Sales in June droppedBloomberg Terminal 0.5 percent to 217,642 vehicles, the first monthly decline since October, according to the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers. Sales of utility vehicles fell 5.9 percent, while demand for vans dropped 7.2 percent.
