Chinese Funnel 25% of Global Property Investment Into Australia

Australia attracted more than 25 percent of Chinese capital invested in commercial property worldwide last quarter as investors facing volatile local markets seek refuge offshore, according to CBRE Group Inc.

Chinese investors and developers funneled $4 billion into global commercial real estate in the first three months of 2015, broker CBRE said in a report Tuesday, That’s rising from $10.5 billion for the whole of 2014, of which Australia attracted 15 percent, it said.
