A day before a self-imposed June 30 deadline for an accord to prevent Iran from building a nuclear weapon, diplomats meeting in Vienna confirmed it’ll be all but impossible to complete an agreement by then.

Citing continued progress, U.S. and European diplomats said they nonetheless see a path to a comprehensive deal within days. In exchange for curbing its nuclear programBloomberg Terminal, Iran would win relief from sanctions that have denied it billions of dollars in oil sales and virtually frozen it out of the international financial system for the past three years.
