RenCap Says Evaluating Options for Iran If Sanctions Are Lifted

Renaissance Capital is interested in doing business in Iran should international sanctions be lifted and said it’s informing clients on investment opportunities.

“Iran is the largest economy in the world that is currently closed to institutional investors,” Ben Samuels, global head of equities and interim head of research, said in an interview in Moscow on Tuesday. RenCap, as the Moscow-based firm is known, is seeking to “identify potential investment opportunities in the Iranian market,” if sanctions are lifted, he said.
