Cisco Hires NRG for 20-Megawatt Solar Power Plant in California

NRG Energy Inc., the largest U.S. independent power producer, is building a 20-megawatt solar plant that will help Cisco Systems Inc. get a quarter of its electricity from the sun.
The company’s NRG Renew unit will develop the NRG Solar Blythe II project in Southern California and start delivering power by the end of 2016, Princeton, New Jersey-based NRG Energy said Tuesday in an e-mailed statement.
