Tesla Motors Inc. shares pared a decline after the electric-car maker disputed a report that it’s delaying production of the Model 3 to 2018.

Tesla hasn’t changed its plans to introduce the car in 2017, Khobi Brooklyn, a company spokeswoman, said in an e-mailed statement. Earlier Monday, the website Inside EVs said output wouldn’t begin until the following year, citing a slide from a June 15 presentation by JB Straubel, Tesla’s chief technology officer, at an energy conference.
