Enel Says Selling Slovak Assets at Once May Destroy Value

Enel SpA is unlikely to sell its entire 66 percent stake in Slovenske Elektrarne in a single deal because it could “destroy” the value of the assets, according to the Italian company’s top executive.

While Enel is determined to exit Slovakia as part of a strategy of reducing debt, a potential buyer will likely have to purchase the assets in two tranches, Chief Executive Officer Francesco Starace said in an interview in Rome.
