China’s first jetliner will overcome the setbacks that forced state-owned Commercial Aircraft Corp. of China to postpone the plane’s debut flight and its entry into service, according to a major U.S. supplier.
The stakes are high for Honeywell International Inc., which has contracts to supply parts including flight controls and wheels and brakes that are projected to be worth $16 billion over the C919 program’s life. Comac, as the Chinese company is known, delayed the first test flight of the narrow-body jet C919 to next year, Bloomberg reported an official with direct knowledge of the matter as saying in May.
