Canada Consumer Sentiment Reaches 5-Month High

Canadian consumer confidence rose to its highest since December amid increased optimism over the outlook for the nation’s economy, weekly polling shows.

The Bloomberg Nanos Canadian Confidence Index rose to 56.9 last week, from 56.3 a week earlier. The share of Canadians predicting a weaker economy in the next six months fell to 27.5 percent, down from as high as 47 percent in February.
