Plus500 Ltd. said the U.K.’s Financial Conduct Authority last week requested a freeze on customers’ trading accounts as part of a review into anti-money-laundering controls that started in January.
“We are doing everything in our power to protect our U.K. market position and we are in close dialogue with the FCA,” Plus500 Chief Executive Officer Gal Haber said in a statement Friday. “The current situation is regrettable, and we apologize to customers whose accounts are frozen.”
