U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron said he’ll make a counter-extremism bill a priority of his new administration in an effort to confront “poisonous Islamist extremist ideology.”

The draft law will be in the Queen’s Speech laying out the new government’s first legislative program on May 27, Cameron said Wednesday in the first meeting of the National Security Council since he won an unexpected majority in last week’s general election.
